I've never used the regular either, but I've read it is useful if you are dealing with more severe surface defects that need a bit of filling along with priming. One thing about Tamiya primer, it surely does adhere and sand nicely.

I never used their conventional primer,but this stuff works as good as any other rattlecan primer,I compare it to Mr Surfacer 1200

I want to know what advantages this primer has over the conventional tamiya primer.
