Transferring paint from jar to jar?????

Ordinarily I just pour from jar to jar, but I do make that mess at times.  Sometimes I use the old trick of pouring down a stick.  I use coffee stir sticks for this (also use them to stir paint).  It does help a lot.

For cases where I want to measure more carefully, I keep a set of kitchen measuring spoons- stainless steel ones that are impervious to any solvent and easy to clean up.

I did what Greg did from another supplier at about the same price, a really good investment. Another great eBay purchase was tattoo ink cups. They come in hundred packs in sizes from tiny to small, and are just right for mixing colors for spot work or figures, etc.,etc.

Best deal on jars is Hobby Lobby. I think they were in the craft paint section at a really good price (before the coupon discount).

In 2013 I bought a case of 500 3ml disposable pipettes from these folks.

The pic is a bit deceiving, there are actualy almost 2/3 of the original 500 left. At today's cost of $31/500ct, my cost is maybe $3-$4 per year. One of the better model-related purchases I've made.

Just what I did, I'm not saying it's right.

At my old local hobby shop (before it shut down) they sold a kit of empty glass jars and plastic pipets, for just such a situation.  The pipets are really useful in letting you "count out" the drops of specifuic colors when mixing paint.
