                        OK, I'm convinced ... Tenax 7R is some good stuff. I'd seen several posts mentioning it, and included some on a Squadron order. Tried it tonight for the first time, and it is some good adhesive.

                        I did notice that it isn't a good idea to squeeze the parts together too hard, especially when they are halves of small tubes! Tenax 7R is a "Plastic Welder" and it does melt the plastic. Squeeze too hard and you get your parts flattened together Big Smile [:D]

                        Is the Tamiya thin cement the same stuff? 'cause if not, it works awesome as well!!!

                        No, I didn't. I didn't see one in their catalog (which doesn't mean they don't have them, only that I blasted through it too fast!). I have a phoney one made from a hypodermic needle that works decently. I'll scrounge a Touch-N-Flow sooner or later though.

                        I don't have a Touch-N-Flow, so I just use an extra fine microbrush. Works fine to me, but I would like to take a TNF for a test drive one of these days.

                        i dun like the tamiya stuff... testors cement (blue bottle) is MUCH better, dries faster, strongeer, less seams..... i own both.

                        and isnt this in the tools and techniques forum?

Lately I've been using the Testor's Liquid in the black container with the red label for most apps. but I can see where you'd need better control in tighter areas. I also have access to hypos, so I might give it a shot. lol (No pun intended) Cheers -Spencer

                        Man, am I glad I checked this thread out. I've been using straight Zap-a-Gap on a toothpick or sewing needle for 13 years. That Touch and go doohickey is my next tool. All I gotta do now is find one.

                        Be careful you can get a paraphernalia charge for those things. Oh well, you can usually buy 'em at Walgreens anyway. But you're supposed to have a prescription.

                        I don't understand about the plastic tubing. Wouldn't the plunger work ok? Don't you just draw the glue up or what?

                        Sure, it would work, I just didn't want that much. The plastic tube is open so when I dunk it in the bottle a drop or two will flow up into the needle, like an old quill-style ink pen. A little goes a long way with glue.
