What kind of brushes?
Posted by Srpuln10 on Saturday, December 21, 2019 5:25 PM

I need to know what size and kind of brushes I need to paint like the silver bars on the German 1/35 size collars. Any small detail of that nature. I'm getting better at painting my miniatures so I want it to look good. I've got some brushes but I don't have anything that small. I just don't know much about brushes other than some cost more than other. I've got ones I use for acrylic some for enamel, lacquer, etc. I'll take all advice from what kind of brushes to techniques etc. Thanks for the info guys I know that y'all point me in the right direction

My brush size's range froma a 10-0 up to a size 6. When i used to paint those i would use a 5-0.

I have 12 sizes in all, one set for acrylics and one for enamels. I go for the better quality ones at a local art supply store. Not cheap, but deffinetly worth it.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

If you have a Hobby Lobby near you, use one of their 40% discont coupons and grab a set of small brushes usually 0 tru 10/0. This will give you a good size range.

Yeah I've been using some of the brushes they have. I'm just wondering what everyone else has. Just looking for options also. I like some of the brushes   but wanting other people's info. Mostly the sizes are what I'm having trouble with. I'm not to sure what's what when it comes to that. Don't know what size is best for what. I can see the difference between them but other than that. I'm just wondering if I'm using the right one. I may be just over thinking it all
