Or it could also be that the needle has been pressed to aggresively in thenozzle and has widened the opening to where it doesn't seat right now. Try a thorough cleaning of the nozzle and see how it is. Also make sure the needle is pushed against the nozzle sufficiently but not too hard.

If it sprays before you pull back on the trigger, then the needle isn't sealing against the nozzle opening.  It could be dried paint inside the nozzle.

Help with my Iwata Eclipse HP-CS
Posted by Zadok Allen on Thursday, March 12, 2020 1:22 PM

So, I have an Iwata Eclipse hp-cs and have noticed a thing when I spray air at higher psi. Since I usually test run with water before I airbrush, I have noticed that it atomizes the water and sprays it out when I spray only air. this happens at higher psi than 20, is this normal. I have a needle set of 3.5.(I bought a new 3.5 Nozzle, but no change) This does not happen when I spray with my 5.0 needle kit. Hope someone knows if this is normal. Regards
