Thin it with Vallejo thinner and add their flow improver, has never failed me it's a very good acrylic clear.I have used all three matte, gloss and satin. Formula is 10-2-2

I thought aboubt using it but didn't. Nice to know for the future though. I do like the finish it gives and will be using it again. Thanks.

Needle size wasn't listed on the packaging but I figured a GP needle would spray a larger pattern so thats what I used.

I'd figure the same. Yes

The varnish sprays very slowly, acting like it's too thick. I guess the value of this is that it makes you apply light coats. What I ended up with was a very even coating and a nice shine.

I sprayed it using a Badger 105 airbrush with a general purpose needle at 20 psi. Needle size wasn't listed on the packaging but I figured a GP needle would spray a larger pattern so thats what I used. The varnish sprays very slowly, acting like it's too thick. I guess the value of this is that it makes you apply light coats. What I ended up with was a very even coating and a nice shine.

If you do need to thin polyurethane, or for cleanup, mineral spirits works.

Here's my 2 cents

Don't thin it. Vallejo say use .4mm or larger needle, I've used .5. Like most Vallejo products, sprays best at 20-25 PSI. If you have a fan pattern airbrush, even better. (I've not even tried it with mine, yet, as it has worked fine for the small jobs with a conventional .5mm needle/nozzle)

I've been experimenting with it off and on for the past couple of months, and liking it. I got it to try over chrome finishes, specifically Alclad and Molotow, and it's so far the best of all of the clears I've tried for that.

Seems to be a very nice clear for general use, too.

Wish you good luck with it.

I picked up some of Vallejo's poly varnish but it seems too thick to spray out of the bottle. Any ideas on what to thin it with?
