This is a great page on the Zekes used at Pearl Harbor. They were painted in what was described at the time as a "caramel" color. Pics of pieces of these aircraft are included, authenticating this color.

Some A6M3 Type 22s were overpainted with Mitsubishi green when they were transferred to land bases in the Solomons. This paint was smeared on the aircraft using brushes, rags, and even brooms.

early zero models like the one that participate during pearl harbor is colored whitesh gray. later version is colored green which comes in one color or two tone green. hope this helps.

I was under the impression that the green Zeros were assigned to the Japanese Army (or Air Force or whatever) for land-based use while the white / gray ones were assigned to the Navy. Is that incorrect? I'm not even sure where I heard it now, but it was a long time ago.

White! Actually, it's grey.

But I've only seen light gray on type 11, 21, and 22. After type 32 they seemed to be all green with gray buttom.
