Connecting a regulator to a compressor

You can connect it directly as I have the same thing on my Million-Air compressor, but the only disadvantage is that the heat of the compressor can get more moisture into the regulator because of it being so close.

You can do it however you want. The only thing to be concerned about would be if the full pressure output of the compressor exceeded the pressure rating of the hose going between the compressor and regulator if it were mounted remotely. That isn't going to be a problem with an airbrush compressor.

I actually have two regulators on mine because my compressor is about 50' away from my bench. I have one on the compressor, a 50' hose over to my bench, and a "Convenience" regulator at my bench because I got tired of walking over to the compressor to adjust the pressure.

as long as you compressor is within arms length of your workbench, it wouldn't be a problem to connect it directly to your compressor. i used to have mine done that way until i bought another compressor that was too annoying to leave inside. she's under the garage and my regulator is mounted to my workbench right at eye level when i'm sitting at the bench. you should be able to find an assortment of adapters and couplings at a local hardware store over in the gas/air connections section. later.

i think u can screw it directly to the compressor, mine is and i've had no probs ( which it kinda came with the regulator
