QUOTE: and that stuff will not damage the model in any way?

It never has any of the times that I've used it, and I make a lot of mistakes. Be sure to avoid prolonged contact with your hands, and wash the parts well afterwards. It leaves some sort of slippery residue on the plastic, but it works great.

Castrol Super Clean works very well on acrylic or enamel (haven't tried it on laquer). Sometimes Windex, Simple Green, or Formula 409 will work on acrylics, but not always.

I have heard numerous ways of stripping paint, soaking in bleach, oven cleaner, glass cleaner, etc. What actualy does and does not work on stripping Testors, MM, and tamaya acrilic paints?
