Another thread that I started has led to a topic of off color decals for the invasion stripes on my Hasa P-38J.
http://www.finescale.com/fsm/community/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=32141.
It seems that the white of the stripes was intentionally printed in a "dirty" greyish sort of color. I want them to be a nice bright white, so I've decided to paint the white myself, then cut out and apply the black stripes, which leads to my question:
Would you use Floguils Reefer White (flat), then gloss coat that for the decals, or does Floquil make a gloss Reefer White? I hear good things about Vallejo's white, too. Do they make a gloss white?
I would prefer to spray a gloss white to minimize the thickness buildup of a gloss coat in between.
thanks,
