My Latest build
This is Monogram's 1983 release, 1/72nd scale F-16XL. The kit's factory tinted canopy was cracked OOB, so I began a conversion using the forward fuselage of a Hasagawa F-16A and the kit rear section, re-contoured and sanded smooth. Static dischargers were added to the trailing edges, air-data sensors and intake position lamps are resin casts from a spare kit, made in-house. Model Master enamels, Tamiya acrylics were used for the aircrat colors. The canopy was custom tinted using Future and artists watercolor. Tamiya acrylic was mixed for a sludge wash complete for weathering. Look for my article on the build in Finescale, wish me luck! Here's some preview pics...you guys get first dibs ofcourse. Enjoy!
