Hi,
I've read many of the descriptions of using a "sludge wash" I think they call it, to preshade aircraft panel lines prior to painting.
Maybe I just missed it, but I am unclear as to whether the roughly applied sludge is left to dry in and around the panel line or is to be cleaned up from everything but the line before the main paint job is applied. If left outside the line I assume it is expected to fainlly show through the final paint job.
Sorry if I'm beating a severely wounded horse.
Mike
