I second Zokissima on this one. If you have a speady hand and decent da ab you can tamiya smoke those canopies

For the yellow framing, I seem to remember reading that you can get decal film that's plain yellow (or you could print/paint clear or white film to get the same). Tape two #11 blades together, and use that to cut thin strips of constant width.

I have heard of people spraying Tamiya Smoke as a layer of tint.

I recommend Swannys site also. But I don't have the patience to try the method he does. I have used plain food coloring and future with good results. Swannys method is better but food coloring is just plain quick.

Smoking tips for the non smoker

I have a couple of canopy questions for you experts out there. I usually do WWII aircraft, but have slipped those surly bonds into an EA-6B and a Viking, both have tinted canopies and yellow edging around the frame. Does anyone have a good technique for smoking the canopies and adding the yellow edge-within-the-edge?
