Thanks to all. A helpful bunch, you are. The systematic troubleshooting approach was much appreciated - as was the soapy water idea. I definitely found bubbles at the connection to the compressor. Now what? Buy a new hose?
...I'm so cheap. I visually inspected the threads on the compressor and hose and found nothing significant. It's frustrating to think of buying another 'cause the hose itself doesn't seem to have any leaks or be defective - it's just that the female end doesn't form a seal with the compressor - and yes I've even used a wrench as a last-ditch effort to make the
thing seal. Obviously the threads mate-up, but that's not good enough I guess.
So now anyone got any good hose recommendations for the Paasche VL to mate to the Testors mini-blue? Tankmaster, what do you use?
Troubleshooting the compressor was tough, by the way, 'cause the different sized openings (compressor opening vs. AB hose opening) make an apples-to-apples comparison hard to guage without a guage. (the mass flow equation to describe that must have slipped my noodle) I'd estimate though that it's putting out a good amount of pressure, and there aren't any little wierd sounds to be heard, or sights to be seen through the transparent casing.
Once again thanks to all for your effort in this.
