"...whatever I happen to have sitting close to hand."

Scott, I hope you don't take that approach with your contact lenses! Laugh [(-D]

(I don't actually know if you wear contacts, I just had to jump on that opportunity.)

I don't thin it. It sprays fine from the bottle.

The label says use water for cleanup and that seems to work fine. I've also used Windex, alcohol, laquer thinner, mineral spirits, whatever I happen to have sitting close to hand.

I suspect that's what caused it then. It may clear up over time. Sometimes when paint is put on real heavy like that it takes a good while for it to completely cure.

Thanks Music that's probably it because I sort of slopped it on with a brush.

The only time I've had that happen with any acrylic clear flat was when I got it on way too heavy. Thin coat, let dry, thin coat, let dry. Two coats is usually enough for me.

After hearing good reports about this stuff I finally got hold of some.

Before using it on my newly finished model I tested it on my test model.

The trouble is that it dried with a slightly milky finish.
