So I am building a 1:32 scale model, and my plan is to spray the body of the plane in Silver Krylon spray paint, (outside of course) this will be my primer (unless airbrushing a Model Masters silver would be better) then I intend on painting the model as usual, then I will use a needle or something to scratch away the top coat to reveal the silver. So does anyone have any words on whether this weathering technique will even work. If so, how would I go about scratching the top coat without engraving the whole model?
