Maybe really low tac tape would work if regular doesn't. But then you risk paint getting under the tape.

I think I would do some experimenting before I tried it on something I really didn't want to screw up - Take an old model, apply metalizer and let dry, apply the seal and let dry and then apply tape and see what happens when you remove the tape - My thinking is that the seal coat would just act as a coat of paint - if you taped it, it would hold to the metalizer but the metalizer would still peel when you tried to remove the tape.

As long as you let it cure, it should be fine. I'm 99 percent sure you can also mask over it.

Does anyone know if you can paint Testor Model Master Metalizer down, buff it, seal it with the recommended sealer, then paint over it?
