Hmmm, thx Steve, I just bought a Iwata Eclipse today and am trying to get used to it, I have a Badger Crescendo , but it just wasnt doin' it for me, I will try the high pressure, I have been using low, 2-8 psi, and getting varied results, I am FAR from being any good at ABing, and am reading and bugging people that I can corner to get some advice, I am getting the little tiny spatters also, from all that I have read, like you I need to turn up the pressure, going to go try it in a sec, just wanted to see what you guys had to say and here you are saying basically what I need to know! This is a subject I could talk ALL day long on, I thought it was the thinning mix but it just got runny from too much, only thing left is the air pressure, hope it works, I think I will come back to this thread some more and say what is going on with mine.
OLSEN, Hi there. Man, I am not an expert like you and steve, but it seems from everything you have said, i.e., you have done EVERYTHING to stop the spatter, it might be you have inadvertantly bent your AB tip! It's been known to happen , even right after I..oops, I mean someone buys it. LOL, just kidding, but I do know it doesn't take much for an accident to happen! I feel stupid telling an experienced person like you , but have you run the needle tip across the softest part of your hand to feel any bur on the needle? or put it against a white piece of paper and look through a magnifying glass? just a suggestion. Well, enuff of my rambling, i'm off to try some high pressure, I will be back to report, Sir!
Hope to have good news,
Bill
