After trying out an Iwata airbrush from a friend of mine I decide to get one myself.
However after contacting the (very helpfull) people at Bear Air I'm still a bit unsire which type would suit my needs best.
I will be using this airbrush almost exclusively for painting relatively small models( plastic-resin photoetched) and need to be able to reproduce quiet complex camo patterns. Think of German nightfighter camo on a 1/72nd scale aircraft.
I'm using a really old Badger 150 and a more recently aquired Aztec but especially the latter is not capable of doing this.
Anyway it's going to be an Iwata for me. My friend uses a Custom Micron B but warned me that this might be too fine a brush for me. So I decided that a HP+ SB (I'm really fond of a side feed) would be the best for me. That's when Meg at Bear AIr told me to consider an Eclipse instead, because that would probably be a more suitable airbrush for me. I use Vallejo AIr Acrylics mostly and very occasionally some well thinned enamels for special effects.
Now, before I buy anything I decided that it was probably best to ask the masters first..
Which (Iwata) airbrush would you recommend me?
Thanks very much,
Willie
