Thanks for the info Mike.

It's not the one that I chose for myself (I found something else along that lines though). I have heard of other modellers having decent success with this unit, but once again of course it depends upon the amount of usage.
I just supplied this picture to show a usable unit compared with the previous pic. As always it is wise to shop around and then ask lots of questions about the particular unit.

Shermanfreak,

That little compressor is affectionately known as "Junior" over on the airbrush forum I visit. The consensus on that unit is that it works good if you don't use it for long periods of time. Most people who have bought them for airbrushing T-shirts at 60psi for several hours a day have had them die prematurely, sometimes in only a few weeks. Dead [xx(]

One something like this may suit your purposes a little better. Not only for using with an airbrush, but you can tell the wife that you can do all kinds of things around the house too. This unit lists for $109 but I'm sure you can get one like it for less.

That thing is noisy, has very erratic psi levels, and can't be effectively regulated. Besides the fact that it dances all over the floor, it's just not what you need.

Well, see, im a little short on cash right now, and i would jump at the chance for a cheap air compressor. Do you know of any good compressors for a good price?

Chances are it wouldn't be good enough for airbrush use. What you need is something that can give a controlled, constant pressure. Also the connector that is on this unit is a little awkward to adapt to airbrush use. Look for a larger unit that has a regulator on it .... they are available in the U.S. at Walmart and are also made by Campbell Hausfeld.
