I`m having problems with the front and rear windshield on a 1/35 scale Russian URAL heavy truck made my ICM- problem is that when trimming the masking tape after putting it on the clear part, the plastic is so soft, and the parts fit so poor, that the knife blade won`t follow the window outline, it makes its on path where ever it wants to go.
I had to cement the windshields in place due to the design of the kit and then mask the clear sections so I could fill in the huge gaps and have my filler covered by my airbrushed finish coat, just the problem with the masking is holding me up.
The tip on using white glue sounds interesting, I think that`s what I`m going to try.
I had thought that in `The Complete Future` it mentioned using Future as a masking material, I reread that several times and it in fact doesn`t mention that, I can`t think where I heard or read of that tip- either my source was mistaken or I`m not remembering correctly ( the memory thing is entirely possible- middle age and everything you know :) )
