Flat question / Future question
Posted by cytorg on Monday, February 12, 2007 11:29 PM

I picked up some Polly Scale Flat finish, F404106, and the guy told me to dilute it.  What is the ratio for dilution that most of you use?

Also, I used future and I need to spray over another color.  Can I spray on top of the future?  Should I spray a flat first?  The color I'm spraying on is a flat color.

Thanks for any help!

The general rule is to thin to the consistency of 2% milk. I like to spray my flats a little thinner.

You can spray any acrylic directly over cured Future, which is also an acrylic. Some even use Future as a primer for gloss coats and Alclad.

I use Gunze paints and Future over them.  I have had to touch up areas of color on top of the Future, and have never had a problem.
