Hi!
Bad luck or should I say bad construction? I had the same incident with mine and on the picture you can see how it looks inside. yes, I stripped mine because I grew tired of having to turn it in every single time it got jammed because of all the paint that leaks backwards into the body.
What I did was to replace the broken plastic piece with one made from piano wire (the one going backwards from the trigger)
I know this void the warranty but I don't care any more, just need to get it fixed quick so I can move on with the next step in the painting process.
I think Testors changed the warranty to last only two years, but I don't know from when? If you still have it, go for a change but then consider to fix it yourself as soon as the warranty is out.
This is how my 470 looks inside in only a couple of painting sessions
Good luck!
Niclas
