i have just painted a 1/48 p-51 in MM Aluminium. i mixed up a large jar, as there is a fair bit of painting, my first coats dryed fine after about 12 hours. then i had some touch ups to do and i found 2 problems. 1. the paint in the jar,which had been sealed, started to come out of my airbrush very stop start. i cleaned the gun but it still did it. i thinned the paint more and it fixed 95% of the problem. 2. the places i touched up wont seem to dry properly.!
i assume this is because the paint is now to thin? also why is it then after the paint drys i can handel the model, using gloves, but sometimes the paint where you are holding it begins to go soft and smear.?
finally should metallic paint be mixed thin or thicker for airbrushing. i am doing a 1/48 B29 next and i dont want any drama's!!!!!
