Who makes it? I have never heard of it.

Taiwan made knockoff of the Iwata top of the line Custom Micron CM-C Plus.  I haven't seen anyone here mentioning they got one of these, cept for somebody talking about using ebay knockoff ABs for spare parts a long while back.  Either way it's not suited for standard modeling paints if it's built at all close to Iwata's specs.  Stick to the Badger 100LG if you are trying to save money buying a gravity feed detail brush.

I agree with Ryan.

You never know what you are getting with these knock offs.

Buy a Badger and when you have any problems you will be backed by the best airbrush company in the world IMHO. Nobody takes care of you like Badger does.

I agree, IF you live in North America. I've seen the prices on Badger in the UK and Australia, and it's ridiculous.

Where are you located?

I wouldn't trust anything from ebay, you don't know what you're getting.

A friend of mine bought one on ebay for around 40 Euros; it looks closely to a CM C+ but I did not see it like a clone ( maybe just me, an irrational feeling, I'd say that it is a lookalike ) . He asked me to lend him my Iwata to check if spare parts are compatible, but I must say I'm a little in trouble due to the price of Iwata spare parts ( if his needle damages my nozzle, who will cry ? ) On the plus side, he seems to be happy with it, but we did not compare performances. On the other way, if you damage it, you can buy another one to use it as a "Christmas tree" .

That is all I can say to help at the moment.

Thank you all for coming José

Yes Sir, it's that one and roughly the same price than on ebay, with the benefit of having an identified "shop". Now, that is a personal choice In fact, I think that the CM C+ is no match for modelling and that the HP CH is much best suited, as long as you restrain your choice to Iwatas; I also think a HP CR is totally useless if you already own an Omni 4000 , but here we are on a budget decision and it can change a lot of things. I think that in matter of tools, buy cheap is buy twice, but fact is that this one is very inexpensive...

Thank you all for coming José

DO NOT MIX THE PARTS.  The needle/nozzle size are slightly different, meaning the head assembly carts could be incompatible and cause damage.

Thank you for your message, chap. In fact, I was very reluctant to do this as I did not feel it well and feared something could occur. In the end, as I fear my friend is the deep-pocket-and-short-arms kind ( so he has difficulties to catch his purse ) it could be a real pain to get replacement parts for my airbrush if he must pay for them.

Thank you all for coming José

This is my first double action AB and as a beginner, it's ideal to get you started. If you are a more experienced modeller, like many here, save up the pennies and buy brand quality.

I have tried to be very careful with maintaining and cleaning, but at some stage (still don't know how) I bent the needle just  slightly. Better to do this on a cheap knock off than a quality AB.

Having a bit more experience with AB now, I have moved to a Nozomi for detail , whilst keeping the BD-180 for general, or larger coverage jobs.
