Gordon at Sprue Brothers says his inventory levels are increasing...which tells me that they are again available. He also noted a few colors are still unavailable but due soon.

I bought some Tamiya acrylics at the beginning of the week at the LHS and they already have the California label on them.

So that's not the case...

I read on these forums I believe that the state of California is requiring a sticker put on all the paints saying "This product is known by teh state of California to have ingrediants in it that cause cancer" or some such crap and that Tamiya is having to resticker all its paints and thats why they are hard to get.

I have heard rumors that paints from Japan such as Tamiya and Gunze could be hard to find for a while due to the restrictions imposed by the ports in the U.S.

Tamiya paints, not available soon?

Today I spoke to someone at the call center for Great Models.  They told me that they are having a hard time getting the paints in because Tamiya isn't going to pay for the customs fees and shipping fees to the US anymore.   Does anyone out their know about this issue?
