James,

The Medea cleaner is good but you can make your own cleaner for much less money.
Mix 2 parts distilled water, 1 part Windex, and 1 part Simple Green.
It works great!

The Super Lube is fantastic and I would not go without it.
It helps smooth the action of the airbrush and stops paint from drying to the needle. I have two airbrushes in the garage right now with acrylic T-shirt paint in them, and the bottles still attached to the siphon tube from the last time I airbrushed with them which was about 2 months ago, and they still work like I just cleaned them. I would call that pretty impressive.

Mike

James, I heard the same about the lube so I got some with my new Iwata but I can't vouch to the validity of the claims ( edit: I've only used it once so far). I would imagine it will help keep the trigger area from wearing as quick. I don't know about the cleaner. Anything that cleans it well should be fine I think.

Medea Super Lube and Medea Airbrush Cleaner?

I read somewhere that Medea Super Lube and/or Medea Airbrush Cleaner are good/neccessary items for keeping your airbrush in good working condition.

I am still waiting for my airbrush (on back-order) but thought I would check this out in advance.

I gather the lube is a good idea but what about the cleaner?
Or can I use any kind of similar cleaner?

Thanks,
