Hey, guys:
I have a Badger 360 that usually works great. You put paint in it, it shoots paint. Done. Now for some reason, when I use a bottle (instead of the tiny built-in paint cup), the AB shoots paint ONLY when I have the AB tilted forward. When I put paint directly into the cup, it works fine. Which I suppose is a workaround, but for larger jobs, that tiny cup just doesn't cut it.
I'm using Xtracolor enamels for the first time so thought it could be the paint, but when I filled the bottle with just thinner, I got the same result--no flow unless I tilted the AB forward.
I've made quadruple sure that the bottle adaptor straw is clear. I've cleaned the needle, tip, and every other part of the AB with thinner multiple times, with no luck.
Dunno, but something is wrong. It seems like when I have the bottle attached, the airflow is impeded just enough so that the AB can't draw paint from the bottle--unless I have the whole kit 'n' kaboodle tilted forward.
The only other factor I can think of is that it's been very humid up here in the Northeast, to the point of being tropical. I have a moisture trap on my compressor (Silent Aire), but maybe that's not enough and I need to wait until the humidity drops (I work in my un-air-conditioned garage)...?
I am completely and utterly stumped. Help.
Thanks!
PB
