                        Thanks for the advice!  I've never used Micro Set before, just Solvaset after the decals have been placed.  I'll purchase some and give it a try!  The dishwashing soap technique also sounds good.  I've used that before when applying large automotive decals and window film, so I'll probably try that on a scrap decal until I can get some Micro Set.  Again, thanks!

                        Badun, at one time or another we all had that problem. Assuming you have a good gloss coat on already here is one suggestion that I have tried and it worked. Try adding a drop or two of liquid dish soap to your water when you soak the decal. It really makes it slippery. You can swab some on the area your decaling too with a soft sable hair brush. Try this before you put any Micro Set on just to see what happens. Better yet if you have some scrap decals, try doing it on a peice from another kit to see how it works. You can always get the scrap decal off. Better than ruining the markings your using. Also with Solvaset being so powerful , you can dilute it with a little bit of water to cut down the strength.

                        Thats a sticker problem huh? What wetting agent are you using under the decal? Are you using a 'puddle' of micro set or some setting agent?  Do not use solvaset until after the decal is in place. AS for the warm water, 10 seconds should be fine. Letting it soak longer shouldn't make a diffrence to the adhesion. It will add to the likely chance that it will float off the paper though.

                        I have had some that stick on impact. A good puddle of micro set and floating the decal, not onto the model, onto the puddle helped. Then gently soak up the setting solution once in the right spot.

                        I'm building an excellent Heller Subaru WRC rally car.  I bought the kit on clearance so it's about 5 years old.  The decals are not brittle, but they have no pliability or "slide-ability".  Once they hit the paint, they can't be moved without tearing.  This hasn't been a problem with the smaller decals, but now I'm ready for the large decorative decals and how they look will make or break the model.  I use Solvaset for snuggling decals down over uneven surfaces, but I've never run into this problem before and don't know what techniques and products are available.  Heller's directions just say to use "warm water" and give them a 10 second soak, which is exactly what I did at first.  Then I gave them a longer soak and still no difference.
