Finally got to putting a few of the decals on my P-51D that has been a WIP for about 4 years now. The first decal was the star and bar on the top left wing. I dipped it in the water and put some future on the area to help lay the decal to the plastic. As I tried to posistion it the decal ripped and became extremely brittle. Im wondering if that decal sheet is too old.
Is there an online site that offers an after market decal sheet in 1/32 scale for Chuck Yeager's "Glamorous Glen III?"
I looked at squadron, but to no avail. And sadly I dont know of any other online sites off hand.
Also, I noticed that it didnt want to lay flat over the area on the wing just in front of the ailerons(i believe). There are two of them near the top of the wing. I am guessing that it has something to do with what would control the ailerons. Something like a servo on a RC plane. But, what is the best way to get the decal to lay flat on something that is raised higher than small panel lines, rivets, etc..?
Thanks everyone
