Aeromaster decals
Posted by ww2modeler on Monday, May 14, 2007 2:48 PM

Hi all, I'm thinking of buying Aeromasters RAF P-51 decals part I in 1/48th. Does anyone have experience with this set or Aeromaster in general. I am buying ICMs Mustang III with it and was told that the decals stink.

Stink in what respect?  They are inaccurate?  I have used Aeromaster plenty of times and find they go on the model great and settle down very well with the usual setting solutions.

I was told that the ICM decals do not set well, not the Aeromaster. Is $8 a good price for them.

I have had mixed results with Aeromaster decals.  Some work wonderfully, others (the ones with the REALLY shiny carrier film) were horrible.  I guess my opinion is to avoid them if possible.

I've used Aeromaster Decals for years & find the quality to be generally excellent.
