1/48 P-38J decals of Richard Bong's plane

Does anyone know of any company other than Pyn-Up Decals that is making a sheet for Richard Bong's "Marge" P-38J?

Mike,

Though not a set of decals per se, but Revell's 1/48 P-38 includes Bong's markings.  That's the only other idea I have.  Hope that helps!

Thanks Frank. Too bad Revell's decals suck. Laugh [(-D]

I guess I will just have to pay the $20 for the Pyn-Up decal sheet if I want to build his plane.

I may just go with an olive drab P-38 instead. Wink [;)]

Yeah, too bad.  I would also hate to get the plane all dressed up in a beautiful NMF and have the decals ruin it!

You would think Super Scale or one of the other big decal companies would be producing this decal sheet. Bong was a recipient of the Medal of Honor and the top ace of WWII.

I would think this decal sheet would be in high demand.

It is in high demand, that's WHY it's $20!

Funny this aircraft subject came up.  I am planning a trip up the EAA Museum on Thursday where they have a P-38J painted up in Richard Bong's markings.

No, it is $20 because it is a limited run by a small company!

All of Pyn-Up's decals are expensive for that reason.

I'm just giving you a hard time, Mike.

If you willing to settle on the Revell decals, I've got that kit in the stash, and I wasn't going to use the Bong decals. PM me your addy and I'll send them to you.
