Non slip 1" spring clamps

I came up with this idea building my P-61. I like to use the plastic 1" spring clamps instead of tape or rubber bands to glue parts, the liquid glue seems to wick along the tape and rubber bands ruining the parts being glued togeather. What I did was glue 600 grit wet and dry sand paper to the jaws of the clamps so they wouldnt slip on curved surfaces. I used a Elmers extra strengh glue stick for the clamps because the glue isnt water proof, when or if the paper wears out just soak the clamp in water over night peal off the old sand paper and glue on another piece. I have had no slipping troubles and the clamps dont mark the surface at all. I started out clamping over the masking tape but found I didnt need the tape.

Works great on props too like the ones on the P-61 doesnt pop off and with the clamping preassure no more gap needing to be filled and sanded.
