Same for me on my set that came in last week. I was delighted until I found that the largest and two smallest punches did not line up with the die. The plex guide is pretty beat up too. I emailed them and to their credit they answered back the next day.
Here is the reply: "The plastic guide is generally fairly scuffed up, but the holes should all
align perfectly so that the punches can pass through the guide plate and
into the die holes. I would suggest returning the unit you received for
replacement (which would be inspected/tested), please see the backside of
the package invoice for return form." The backside return instruction says that shipping will not be reimbursed.
To be fair, here is my question: "I recently purchased a precision hole punch set from you for detailing
instrument panels. The metal base and punches are just fine, but the
alignment of the plexiglas guide seems off. Is this typical? I realize
this is a mid-range product in price compared to the Waldron sets, but I
am surprised at the poor lineup with the die and the guide. The largest
diameter punch and the two smallest punches cannot be used because of
the line up problem. In the two smallest holes in the plex, the bore is
very rough, with tearout on one side around the hole. The whole plex
sheet is pretty scratched and beat up. I attached some pictures to show
both the line-up problem and the what the condition of the plex guide is
after coming out of the package.

That catalog picture does not show a scuffed up plate, should I be happy with something less?. I also felt like the tone of the reply was that they didn't believe me, and they really did not seem to acknowledge inconveniencing a customer. I don't care to pay shipping back to them and delay a project further so they can "inspect" the problem. Micro Mark usually has good stuff at higher-end prices, but now they are certainly a last option in all my purchases.
If I hear anything else I will post here again, to be fair to all.
Back to the magnifier (and polishing out the plex guide plate!)
