Clarification ... I have to slow down and do a better job of proofing posts before whacking the post key.

... found very few tools ...

Also, I got them both both from UMM since that is where I was ordering the saw.

I agree ... got them both.

I have to admit that I have found very tools that seem to overcome my ability to screw up a project, but the razor saw and the scriber have both got me feeling like I might actually be better than I thought I was.  Both really good tools.

They have got me trying modeling efforts that are new to me on a 1/48 Tamyia F4U-1 Bird Cage Corsair ... resin parts, separating, modifying and reattaching control surfaces ... still the obvious chance to end in disaster, but moving well so far.

Thanks again to you all for the input and suggestions!

I hope you got one of his scribing tools—best scriber I've ever used, including the ones I made for myself!

Thanks! Found one at UMM (along with some other things which I probably don't need).

Got it!  Thanks, Daywalker!

Also, thanks for not "hammering" my ignorance ... was actually JLC and not JCL ...

I've got a 1/48 Birdcage Corsair and the Resin cockpit detail set.  I've never worked with resin before and I'm looking forward to giving it a try after watching the CD's from Swanny and Floyd Werner.  The saw looked like an invaluable item for removing pour blocks.

Thanks again.

Watching modeling CD's, the JCL Razor Saw seems to be the favorite of the master modeler.  I've done some online searches for the saw, but haven't seen the saw for sale.

Any idea where I might find one?

Thanks and Happy New Year to all.
