Try jeweler's wax... it is a soft sticky wax that cleans off easily with alcohol. As your local jeweler where you can get some!

I think the stuff they use is a form of "rubber cement". My mom used to use it all the time for scrapbooking and stuff like that. The way it works is if you just put it on one of the two surfaces that you want to glue together it will not permanently bond and you will be able to remove them later. If you put it on both surfaces then it is supposed to permanently bond them together. Crafters like it because unlike white glue it does not wrinkle and distort paper products.

Another item you may want to try is called Sticky-tack. It's made by 3-M and is used for sticking posters onto walls and other things. Might just do the trick.

Temporary holding agent?

Hi people, just a question. I've experimented with tacky material for holding canopys on during painting, and the best thing I've found is my small stash of "sticky stuff" from those magazine inserts. Now I find that my mailing label for Finescale is held on with it. What is this stuff??? It works great, but I can't locate it in it's liquid form. Any help will be appreciated.
