plastic sheet and stuff

Evergreen stock is good for specialty pieces, but for a cheaper source look in the phone book under "plastic suppliers" or similar. Most times you can buy a whole sheet of styrene fairly reasonably. My local shop even has a remnants section selling it by the pound. They also have clear rod, glues, etc.

I'm in the same boat, and I'll be ordering the Evergreen variety bag or whatever it's called.  I know great models has it online - there are 2 sizes, I'll probably get me the jumbo size for a few dollars more.  I want a nice variety, but Evergreen offers so much (incredible selection of stock, I-beams, quarter-round, whatever you can imagine) that I might just start with the variety bag 1st and see where that leads me.

EverGreen sells a pack called Odds and Ends. I bought that, it had several flat pieces, round tubes, a couple very thin sheets of clear, and some square tubing. I think the price stamped on the bag is $5? Don't hold me to that though. Now if I could just find something to use it on

So are those little single serving jelly things you can get during breakfast at any lesser-quality restaurant (the only kind I go to). I just scored about 50 of those at work, the contents had turned into a semi-solid. The easiest way to clean them is to peel off the foil top and then dump them in a sink full of warm water, stirring every so often, for a couple of hours until the jelly dissolves, then rinse in hot water and stack carefully for your next scratchbuilding adventure/disaster.
