Wow what a reference base...!!
'Ol St. Nick would be proud!
If you and the other out there in the WWW,don't know this one:
World Airshow News magazine also has a forum,by and for the airshow aces in us all!!
This recent issue, has a photo feature on NAS Oceana's last show, which reveal that VFA-11 "Red Rippers" are transfering CVWs again!!
Yeah first I tracked CVW-7 markings 'AG'in thier first training mode with VFA-106,with thier Foxtrots, then assigned to -17 'AA' and were the second ,then first unit (2XX ,1XX) in that split up,then -3'AC' in which they and sister -32 first deployed,in the above article,it shows 2 of -11s in both -3 and now to be transfered to (replace VMFA-251) CVW-1'AB' markings with 1XX modex, and VFA-211/136(and now thier own Echos, after not changing over in 2007,giving those few recieved to -31,and going back with same marking style with Charlies and another cruise!! ) and -106 in formation.
So ,if anybody bought those "Rhino" Echo markings from Superscale or "those other guys" Afterburner/Sprue Bros? in 48th, you now can use them as the third 3XX unit in CVW-1 !!
Darren, over on ARC is going to follow up with me on this transistion,of one of the oldest sqns in the fleet!!
Red Rippers Rule!!
