I saw this as soon as you posted it. I'm surprised that no one else has commented on this, so I will. This is interesting to say the very least. I just wish that there were more photos. I'm guess that this was under water after being damaged hence all the leakage in the guages, and the washed out look of the instrument controls and surrounding surfaces.

Maybe a picture of a squirrel playing a harmonica will make you feel better?

Just figured for the cut-a- away subs might be interesting. Thanks.

YIKES!  Those are really gruesome looking photos.  Go here to see what the interior of a Uboat would look like when it was brand new: http://photography.msichicago.org/p613669478/h22ccdacd#h22ccdacd

If you are ever in Chicago, you must visit the Museum of Science and Industry. The U505 that is on display is in original condition. And yes, you can walk through it. The museum also has the only remaining Stuka dive bomber on display. It is being chased by a Spitfire. https://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images;_ylt=A0LEV0pq4FVXamcAJaRXNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTEyNW84ODh0BGNvbG8DYmYxBHBvcwMxBHZ0aWQDQjE1NjNfMQRzZWMDc2M-?p=Museum+of+Science+and+Industry+Stuka&fr=yfp-t#id=5&iurl=http%3A%2F%2Fmedia-cdn.tripadvisor.com%2Fmedia%2Fphoto-s%2F04%2F2b%2F80%2F5f%2Fmuseum-of-science-and.jpg&action=click
