Daywalker I'm not sure you will find any pics of a G varient flown my galland. I know for sure he flew just about all the 109's from the early D's up to the F's. I know he few several me 262's. During the time the G's were flying he was behind a desk or in jail. I would have to assume he flew a G at some point but have never seen referance to it. Also keep in mind that the F-2 in that pic is his "special F" as it was called. This mechine was heavily worked over.

Thanks for looking guys!

Mike- I found that drawing in a book I forgot I had last night too!  I really like the Freidrich, but the kit I have that I wanna build is a Gustav and I was hoping to find some reference to one flown by Galland.  Thus far, nothing...

Thanks for the help!  May just have to buy a conversion kit and make mine an "F"! Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

Hey buddy! I'll admit it's not a 'G', but it's still kinda cool.....

Of course, you could always build his 262. Wink [;)]

Roger,

Thanks for looking my friend!  I ran across a small thumbnail of that one, and also what appears to be an early "G", but the pics were not large enough to see clearly.  I'll keep looking, and hopefully find something.  Thanks again! Thumbs Up [tup]

In my search here, it looks like Galland did fly a BF-109F-2, and i managed to run across a picture of that. While not the G model, i'm guessing that may not help you out much here.

Not sure how accurate this is, but it seems that the Franklin Mint thinks he flew one. They even made a die cast of his plane:

Wish i had something more concrete to help you out. But that's all i'm running across here. Hest of luck!

Warmest regards,

Roger

Does anyone have any reference photos or line drawings of any '109s flown by Galland other than his popular BF-109E's?  DId he fly any of the "G" models?  TIA!
