Fed-Std-595C will be published within 1 to 2 weeks. This information came to me from an official at the General Services Administration
Information:
***********************************************
Background: Federal Standard 595, Final Version C, "Colors Used in Government Procurement". The new version C does not remove any colors that were previously in the Fed-Std-595, but does incorporate 39 new colors, submitted from the following organizations:
-Air Force Coating Tech. Integration Office, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH, 2 colors
-Army Research Lab, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, 1 color
-Natick Soldier Center, Natick, MA, 31 colors
-Raytheon Aircraft Company Process Laboratory, Wichita KS, 1 color
-F-35 Project Colors (Deft), Lockheed Martin, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH, 1 color
-Naval Air Systems Command, Lakehurst NJ, 3 colors
Revised Document: Fed-Std-595C contains detailed information regarding color referencing and matching, a summary of the new 2007 colors, as well as a master reference list of all 650 colors in tabular format. The master reference list of colors provides all available reference information for these colors, including tristimulus values, pigments and 60° gloss level and color name as applicable. Note: As before, all color matching must still be done via color reference chip.
Current Initiative: After successful revision of Fed-Std-595, we will plan to publish new color reference chips and fan decks in 2008.
