“I have been fascinated with the Titanic ever since I was 6,” says Phillip. He says he improved Revell’s 1/570 scale kit by cutting off the forward and aft solid railings and replacing thickly molded ratlines with cotton thread. He painted with Polly Scale and Tamiya acrylics along with Testors enamels. I mixed the colors for the well decks and funnels with Polly Scale and mixed the deck color with the enamels — just mixed until it looked right.”
