sorry guys, but you are all missing hte point. The cd is not really for us, as a badge to wear, but for others.
Lawerence: Nice passing of buck. If you'll pay my phone charges, I'll gladly call ever record company there is in America. As I live in Ireland............that'll be one big bill.
Fightnjoe: It's actually cheaper to produce a cd, than to make a tee-shirt. The issue is cost of permission to use what would amount to as thirty/twenty year old songs. As the proceeds go to charity, it might be possible to negoiate.
Just imagine the FSM logo on the side of the SallyB after they recieve a cheque from FSM on behalf of it's readers who bought a cd manufactured for the purpose of raising funds to support such efforts.....
I mean, 30,000 readers ( if that) at ten bucks a disc equals money.
But,as no-one is willing to pursue it, I guess I'll just follow by example and do nothing.
So much for the great "Go-get" American spirit (which actually translates into, "As long as I don't have to do anything").
