Vietnam, ''70, then '75 at the end.

Activated for Grenada, yes reservists were activated. Your MOS was the key.

Had launch keys around my neck for some live Minutemen during Cuban Missile Crisis.  That was one scary time.  My family was one day away from evacuation into safe camp in Sierras.

Hey Don,

I sat on the airfield at Kadena waiting to fly to Korea in '76. We just KNEW we were heading back for a big brawl. That was scarier than Vietnam for sure.

The wife's ancestors were about the third white folks settling in the Eugene, OR area.

Her girls actually asked her once if she knew Sacagewea when she (the wife) came out with Lewis and Clark.  ROFL

As for me and service, tail end of 'Nam, 72-76 with a year in Thailand.  Long time back now, according to some.  Especially those that have forgotten history nowdays.
