Well;

"G" you have a cleaner bench than I for sure . On mine you'll find H.O. scale buildings , Aircraft Carrier parts ( The De Gaulle ) and the client model parts , Stacks , radars etc .There's always something there .  T.B. Oh , and an airplane or two .

First coat of paint, then carpeting. Yeah, I know, carpet monster.

Buy one of those plastic floor covers from Office Depot or Staples that will allow a chair to roll around. Pieces will still sometimes bounce off of them in to the carpet, but it helps!

Thanks for the idea of Staples and OD. I have these interlocking mats I use for my weights, was thinking that route. Your way may be better....and cheaper.

Hi Beav, Sorry for the misunderstanding. My "humor" gets lost on most.

Here's my bench on an organized day.

I like your setup, and definitely you should keep the graffiti.

New to forums...hope you see previous post. I will be getting rid of graffiti, but adding better looking graphics. University of Michigan fans will not like it. Or University of Texas for that matter. My apologies again.

Completety my fault for over-reacting. Any Dr. Strangelove fan is alright in my book. (only Kubrick film I can watch in one sitting) But I do get it now, work bench doesn't have to be organized, it just has to be "organized" to me. I do need a new table  though. It's too big and at one time was a nice kitchen table, just needs refinished. Again my apologies. Love the dry wit.

PS. Paint has been bought....carpet bought!

Pss. Are those "real" blueprints in your Grandfathers pic?

It was the privacy setting indeed. Thanks Hammer and those of you who commented.

GM, I understand the risks, and that's why I asked.

At any rate, my apologies to Beav, the op, for hijacking this thread. I truly didn't mean to. Off Topic <------- Me!

My pics do the same thing, it takes you to the entire albumn.  Mine are listed on PB as "public", I suspect that "G's" are locked as "private"

Mine is the same. Fourtunatly, i only put my model related pics on there, all of which are posted on here, so i have nothing to worry about. But i have no idea how to make it private and it should be a simple thing to do.

Greg

I have a question for Morrison, if you're seeing this.

I notice we both use Photobucket. When I click on my or the OP's image, I get a busy Photobucket page with the ability to scroll thru a bunch of pics. I don't want that.

When I click on your pic, I get your pic with a nice neutral grey or black background with the ability to do ......nothing. I want that.

Can you advise what you did on PB to make that happen?

TIA, Greg

Well, I had a brother-in-law who fought with my wife over the estate, printed out all thirteen thousand posts I ever made as "Bondoman", and brought them to court to show that somewhere, in there, one of them cast shade on my character.

To which I replied, "if you'd asked, I could have given you the top ten worst".

C areful what you put on the www my friends.

Thanks for the idea, it's a good one. Worth a try.

No matter how large your bench, there is always exactly two square feet of modeling space.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. You have THAT much???

The good part for you, Beav, is that your ratio of visible worksurface to "stuff" is practically 1:1.  You only have to be concerned when you can only see the stuff and not the worksurface.  Even at that stage, it's still considered "normal".  So don't worry about it.  You're fine.

Make the most of it, won't be that clean that often. I usually do  apost build bench clean and that takes almost as long as the build. Youi have the begingings of a nice set up there, andthe skull and cross bones will be a nice reminder to be careful when handly chemicals.

If my bench isn't a cluster then it means I'm not building enough.

Now, now.  I've seen pics of G's bench, at least I think there is a bench under it.  His reply is more in the line of not enough leftovers, supplies, in-progress kits, etc.  NOT a critisizing type of comment.
