Download your Photobucket Albums

 I just copied all my photos to my new computer. It took me about eight hours to get the first batch copied. I had to wait until friday to finish saving the last 1800 photos that I had saved to my account. I deleted the one I used for posting here. The other one I started for extra bandwidth I kept, but I won't be using ever again. NO ONE tells me what to do with MY pictures - especially when they're holding them hostage!!!  I don't need anyone else to make my life harder, or more miserable than it needs to be! I'll look around for another website to host from. In the meantime I need to concentrate on getting my projects done as soon as possible. Save all your photos then check the boxes, then delete them, then delete each library until you only have one left, then delete all the photos from it. After that then you can delete your account. It won't matter if they don't delete it once all your photos are gone from their site. This way they can't blackmail you into paying for the "Premium membership" at $500.00!!!

I just got the latest update in this fiasco, an email from Photobucket announcing that I am a member of a "select group" of subscription customers, who are being offered the opportunity to beta-test a monthly option of the Plus500 account.

I don't know who they think will want to take it, but I had to chuckle.

"Who are the ad wizards who came up with this one?!"

I downloaded all 2500 onto my own server in under 5 minutes, and left them on photobucket.

i can't see any reason to bother deleting them.

According to their terms, they'll expect that the user select one of their paid plans. If no plan is selected, they'll put the account into their one free plan, which holds a couple of hundred and arbitrarily delete the others.

Fine, what do I care?

Yep!! It does'nt matter if you only have a 5 gallon gas can.... you still have to buy 500 gallons weather you like it or not!

I was just going through my Spam folder and found all of the emails from pb requesting I go to $$$$ mode.

I felt so left out by not getting these like you all did.

Well, aparrently at this point Google Chrome has pbdeals.com on their *** list.

So Arcangel, from your desktop you can download all your content in on easy step. Takes about 5 minutes.

I would really like to know what people are doing to download whole albums. I did the first one ok, but now every time I try to download one, after I click the "I'm not a robot button," it gives me some error across the top telling me something went wrong and to try again. Try again, same exact thing happens.

Yeah, I ran into the same bug when I tried to download an album from Photobucket.  I tried twice, just to make sure it wasn't an isolated occurrence, then just downloaded the images individually.  I wasn't going to bother following up with PB about it.  F 'em.

So what does everybody recommend as a photosharing site?

Hey all,

I know this is a slightly old past, but I've been trying to deal with getting pictures off of PB for a bit. I ran across a process - slightly techy, but it works (I happen to have a linux virtual machine for rare testing and such, but this seems to be able to work on Windows, from my understanding. )
