Best of luck Toshi and Mrs Toshi. Modern medicine can create small and big miracles, I see it every day in the hospital, sure it is orthopedics and not as complex as brain, but still...It amazes me every single day.

Thank you castelnuovo!  I agree, modern medicine can do miracles, in Mrs. Toshi’s case, the tumor was treated and is now gone in a one month time frame.  Now I’m hoping that this shunt procedure will work.  Hopefully this is the last procedure to do.  Thank you sir for that support!  It’s greatly appreciated!

Toshi;

I can only say that I feel your pain . My first wife had these problems brought on by damage to her skull and brain by a car wreck . I will definitely keep you and Mrs Toshi in my prayers .That's all I can do .  Tanker - Builder

To Tanker - Builder,

My good friend, I can not ask for more from you.  Your prayers are a blessing as Mrs. Toshi’s tumor has subsided.  That was a real relief. I’m sorry to hear of your first wife’s issue, that is a travesty.  It sounds something akin to my injuries that I continue to deal with in pain and through therapy.

The support and response from FSM Forum members like you have been a very important structure in our lives.  Members like you sir, continue to give me strength and perseverance.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Hey Toshi, so relieved to hear the tumor has subsided, and I am sure there are not words adequate to describe your relief.  Another surgery is, of course, no fun, but it does sound like the plan for her treatment is positive.  I will continue to pray for Mrs. Toshi to heal.

I am sure you will take excellent care of her after the surgery.  Send her my best, and let her know we are all thinking good thoughts for you both.

ManCityFan aka: D’man, You are a great friend!  You understand my feelings very well.  For that I’m forever greatful.  The months have been agonizingly cruel, waiting for the PET/MRI scan to happen (3x’s) only to be told to wait another week for the results were a time of great depression, anxiety, and hope.

I can’t tell you how much Mrs. Toshi and I were relieved that the tumor has subsided.  The thought of another surgery angered me greatly.  But I also knew that this would resolve some if not all the pain Mrs. Toshi has been enduring these past months and that’s all I want for her.

Without question, I will be the ubiquitous “Florence Nightingale” to Mrs. Toshi.  Her healing is my responsibility and upmost duty as I love her more than life itself.  I will definately send her your best and that you are thinking of us.  This my friend, I am most humbled!

DRUMS01

Toshi, Thank you for the update. You and Mrs. Toshi have been in my thoughts and prayers. Being a cancer survivor myself, I can feel the anguish in the information you pass to us. It is a wonderful blessing to hear the good news and that there is a good plan forward. Here is my hope and prayers for peace and thorough healing.

v/r,

Ben

No, thank you for following along.  And although the news is of a medical issue, it is my pleasure to do so.  Thank you DRUMS01 for the thoughts and prayers.  You just don’t know how much Mrs. Toshi and I appreciate it.   As a cancer survivor, two thumbs up to you!  You definately nailed it when you said, “I can feel the anguish in the information you pass on to us”.

At first, when the doctor said that the tumor has subsided, I was ecstatic and very relieved.  In all honesty I was extremely upset when I was told that Mrs. Toshi needed a third operation, but I understood two things.  The tumor was gone and that this was the last (Hopefully) operation that will help her relieve some of the pain and migraine headaches she suffers on a daily basis to go away, I understood the reason for the operation and knew and accepted the resolution.

With that said, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for following along in this difficult yet great journey the Toshi’s are upon.  I look forward to what’s coming up ahead.  Once again, thank you!

I'm sorry that the two of you are going through all this.  I'm sure waiting to find out what was going to happen was the worst part.  Now at least you know the next steps, and things are looking up!  Best wishes to the both of you!

Thank you for your concern in this difficult time for us.  I think you nailed it spot on in that the most gruesome months/weeks was going or trying to, finally after two attempts get an PET/MRI!  What a nightmare to resolve.  Then waiting another week for the results were anxiety driven days and sleepless nights.

Another surgery was not something Mrs. Toshi and I needed to hear about and experience for the third time in a year.  But, it is according to the surgeon, a simple affair.  At last a final ends to it means.  After her surgery is done and she’s settled in, I’ll be able to get some bench time in and continue building kits with my grandson and Mrs. Toshi!

Glad to hear the wife is doing better. This is very hard to see a loved one go through this but things are shaping up in your favor.

Will pray for continued improvement.

Thank you plasticjunkie for the prayers.  I so greatly appreciated.  Your words are so true, it is a very hard and difficult experience to navigate when a love one falls gravely sick.  This time, there is actually one more hurdle to get through and I’m hoping for a major touchdown in the red zone in a playoff only to make it in the Superbowl of life!

BrynnWryttur
I'm glad the tumor is gone! I'll be praying for her that the third surgery goes well. I've only been having gastrointestinal issue, nothing like a tumor, but I know what it's like to be given the run around. I'll be praying for you guys. By the way, I live 2 hrs from Cleveland in Jamestown, NY. Do you live anywhere near that area? I'm trying to find modeling clubs around here, but to no avail. I don't know if you'd happen to know of any?

Yes BrynnWryttur, the tumor is gone and what a relief.  Thank you for your prayer, it is greatly appreciated.  The entire tumor journey has been a life changing, harrowing, angry, and frustrating time.  Having great FSM Forum Members like you, have eased the road ahead for the Toshi’s.

As for your question, in regards to where I reside, I am approximately 35-40 minutes driving time south of Cleveland, north of Akron right off the I-80 Turnpike Streetsboro exit.  760 Bridgeport Avenue Apartment 207 Streetsboro, Ohio 44241.  If you google this info, you’ll be better able to see where I am.  We’re in a condomedium complex called Settlers Landing.

There are a few modeling clubs around the area, I haven’t been to any as I with caring for Mrs. Toshi and my grandson, I dare do not leave those two alone at this time.  Try googling or better yet, create a thread in regards to your question in the Forums, you’ll be pleasantly surprised!

Toshi - When I saw the update intro about Mrs. Toshi my heart sank a bit, afraid that it was going to be sad news. I must say I feel greatly relieved, learning that this is still very treatable and with an encouraging path forward.

Mrs. Toshi has endured a lot of uncertainty in the past several months, now things have to look brighter for you both, with the ability to continue treatments for the future.

Please accept my sincere best wishes and hope, that Mrs. Toshi will find comfort and wellness very soon. I salute you for being the shoulder for her to lean on, giving her support and love as she goes through this time. Goodness knows she has been there for you following your TBI, she paid it forward in a major way, now you can return the love and care she deserves. That's a real honor.

All the best, Alan.

Patrick

To my friend, Patrick206,

It’s been an ongoing runaround, agonizing, anxiety filled, angery situation, stressful time while going through this whole process.  We fought hard.  Although this is not what Mrs. Toshi and I wants to hear and do of which is another surgery, at least we have an end to it’s means.

Thank you for your best wishes and hopes, it means a great deal to me.  Things are looking brighter but we have a long road to go.  Having to know that I have FSM Forum Members like you supporting us, it makes this journey an adventure in life, that much better and exciting in the game of life.  I know this much, through my travels as a young man, I took my lessons in life like a boxer, one punch at a time!  lol!

Yes, for over a decade, I took care of Mrs. Toshi‘s needs as if she was a Queen.  My children were placed on a pedestal giving them all my love and giving them the tools to setting themselves up for success in the walk through life.  My injury turned things 180 degrees, my family stepped up during this time and took care of me when this horrible accident occurred on 5/5/2010 (Cinco de Mayo).  That was 8 years ago.  Now it‘s my time once again to step up and make the wise steps in the caring of Mrs. Toshi!

Your friend, Allan Toshio Miura Jr.
