Here in Ottawa (our capital city) there's lots of stuff going on; snow, politics, crime, lots of talk about the decriminalization of cannabis, more snow, cold temperatures, the Ottawa Senators (our NHL team) aren't very good, the relocation of AETE from Cold Lake, Alberta to Ottawa, snow, the need to retrain Ottawa drivers every time there's a snowfall, the ineptness of government and blah...blah...blah...

No. The local papers compared the otter hunt to a political action: more people are brought in and nothing. Then they bring in few "experts" an no joy. Taxpeyers are paying, of course. Then they try to evacuate the fish. I feel like having a bottle of "Laughing Stock", Merlot. The coi are not laughing.

Has the otter been caught yet?

As for here. the weather has been mild and foggy.  Which collects on trees, that fall on power lines.  It's those beautiful winter pictures with frosty trees.  That fall on power lines.

Most of the time, we have no news to speak of here in Marion IN. That said, recently (past 6 months) we have had 3-4 car crashes, 2 aircraft crashes/collisions and one burnt combine.

Rambo
Same here in central Indiana, here in Muncie it's only ever meth and are famous shady government.

I had to laugh about the "mobile meth lab" in the walmart down there.

Becuase they are kinda cute, and have no real support here, sign me up for team otter!

Maybe not a Joel song, but throw in a pick up truck and a dog and ou could have a country music hit.

Don't forget the train and mama. Oh, and whiskey(or beer).

Y'all sound like a bad Billy Joel song!

Hey now.... Billy Joel is an icon in the music business. None of his songs are bad. Taylor Swift on the other hand.... well she’s nothing but a spoiled brat. I can’t stand her.

On the feel good side...A business owner in Portland is loaning his motorhome to a woman, 2 kids and a grandchild that lost everything in the Paradise fire.  She is a teacher/counseler. Is sending it down full of supplies for them and others.

Guess he has been talking to her on a daily basis since learning of what she is going through. Like a lot of others in CA.

GM Oshawa plant closing.  Someone stole a delivery truck from a mall.  Figure that thieves were hoping for some good Christmas loot, but it only had 1.25 million candy canes in it.

Two worst teams in the NFL.

We've got a new Bishop and he's very engaged already with our community.

Most stations airing the crying about the treatment of migrants storming the wire.

This thread seemed like a bad idea from the get-go, Castel. Folks just can't restrain themselves.

I don't really watch news during the day. I'm too busy pursuing my hobby. Although my cat, Mooch, went missing Sunday. Something like that doesn't make the news though.

BTW: Sign me up for Team Koi.

OK. In the stash: Way too much to build in one lifetime...
