The Drifter

Fermis,

Great photos and life joys. That Salmon is huge....did you smoke it or grill??

Once they get that dark...the smoker is best.
The shiney ones get filleted or steaked....baked, fried, grilled...whatever suits the mood!

The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen.

Here is one of mine:

My tastes in other foods have changed over the years, but I have always loved this crappy, cheap, happiness in a box.  I have tried other brands and had it in restaurants, but I always come home to this.

Speaking of boxes of happiness:

I would venture to say happiness CAN be bought, but that's because I am basically already happy.  Big Smile

I have heard of these knife's....are these the ones that are forged in layers of metal alloys?? If I remember corretly they are world renowned for their design and blade edge.

In no particular order...and aside from the "given" (family...building models)...

This pic was taken on a "Wings of Mercy" flight. Taking a pair of medical patients from Ann Arbor MI, to home in the U.P. This was my first time flying the Cessna 310...loved every minute of it!

Flyin with my Dad (retired Huey pilot)

Salmon fishing with my Dad!

I get my "me time" in the woods...

Sharing the "woods meat" (bacon wrapped backstrap...charcoal grilled!) with family and friends...

This one is tough to beat...easy to beat if there were some mountains in the background!

There's many, MANY more things I find joy in...but we'd be here all night.

The day I presented my friend Joe Potts with a model of the P-47 he flew in WWII. I will never forget the look on his face as I handed it to him. I was so glad that I finished it when I did as he passed away a year later. He had placed it on his desk in the living room with a picture of him when he was flying the plane. They now sit on his sons desk along with a model of the plane his son flew that was built by another member of our club. My memory has deserted me for the moment and I can't remember the type of his plane.

I dig the invasion stripes

Here's where I got the idea. I knew Bruce Carr back in the '90s before he passed.

Started riding the summer of 1965. Rode until the summer of 2015. In that time I had eleven motorcycles. Together, my wife and I rode maybe 300,000 miles. I do miss the freedom and my knees in the breeze.
