SR, he sure did love a good P-51 kit! I've never built one myself but I now have one sitting on my workbench that I'll complete and put up on the shelf as a little memory.

My sincerest condolences go to Lewbud's family and friends. It is very sad when we lose a member of the forum, especially the"good guys" like Lewbud. RIP buddy.
“Ya ya ya, unicorn papoi!”
Vale Lewbud, thanks for welcoming me into the fold.
You always had a kind, encouraging or funny word to help us through the madness.
So sorry to hear about his passing. His CAS group build was my first. Made this newbie feel very welcome. RIP brother.
RIP Lewbud. You will be mised.
Sorry to hear about that. Best wishes to his freinds and family.
On Ed's bench, ???
Greg Sincere condolences to friends and family. Based on comments here and on his obituary page, sounds like a man who touched many lives in a very kind and positive way.

Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
I am sorry to hear about this. I did not know the man, but he clearly a good bloke who made a positive contribution. My condolences to his family and friends.
I long to live in a world where chickens can cross the road without having their motives questioned
I haven't checked in to this site for a few days so I am very sad to hear about the passing of Lewbud.
I was a very active member on this site some time ago and I participated in some of the first Weekend madness group builds and even ran it for a couple of years back around 2008 to 2011. After a long break from this forum I wandered back into the Group build section a couple of years ago and saw that "Buddy" had carried on the tradition of the weekend group build so I just had to jump back in. He was was one of the few people I remembered from the original weekend group builds. He will be sorely missed.
This is sad to hear. This past thanksgiving weekend was my first Weekend Madness Group Build, and I had a great Time! As someone who's dad is currently in the process of "being shown the exit" by the cancer in his body, at an age not much more than our friend Lewbud, I feel especially struck by this news.
I sincerely hope that his family and friends, and Lloyd those whose lives he touched can find solace in the knowledge that he is undoubtedly in a better place.

Mortal as I am,I know that I am born for a day. But when I follow at my pleasure the serried multitude of the stars in their circular course, my feet no longer touch the Earth...
I've been away with life stuff and I come back to find this. Truly sad to hear. I really liked Buddy a great deal. Great attitude all the time. I will truly miss him greatly.
As mentioned earlier, by Steve I think, we should do an honorary GB for Weekend madness. I normally don't have time for this one but in his honor I would rearrange things to make it work.
